Sometimes I do step out of the studio and head into clients homes for a newborn lifestyle session.  I love these sessions for an entirely different reason and I like to make sure I have options for my clients.  Some of my clients love the posed images and some do not.  It is a matter of preference!

Capturing newborn photos in your home allows you to get all of those sweet nursery photos and the focus is more on family then just baby, like you seen the studio.  I move around the house and we capture parent’s and siblings doing what they do daily with a new baby in the home.  I make sure to capture the beautiful nursery and all of those fun details!

There is no posing with this session.  It is all baby led, meaning we do whatever baby wants.  I don’t put them to sleep.  If they are sleeping great, if not, great!  LOL   I will bring in a few neutral colored wraps or wraps that will match the nursery so if they are awake I can keep their little hands from being in their face.

Cannon started off his session wide awake so we got a few great awake shots in the beginning!  He eventually decided it was nap time and this is when I capture the shots on the changing table.  Please know that I would never attempt that shot with an awake baby and dad was right next to the table so if he moved.  PLEASE never put a baby on the changing table without a spotter.  Safety always comes first with these sweet little ones!
